Kim O'Donnell
Kim O'Donnell, who has interstitial lung disease, needs to be connected to an oxygen tank most of the time. The bad air quality of Utah Valley's inversions worsens his breathing problems, and during the winter, when the inversions happen, O'Donnell has trouble living a normal life. Even small tasks around the house, like feeding the cats and dogs - he and his wife run an animal rescue out of their home - force him to pause and catch his breath. Some of his health benefits were recently cut, and he and his wife cannot afford to do what his doctors prescribe - move someplace with cleaner air, at a lower altitude.
