Stephanie Green, top photo, and Audrey Shaw, bottom photos, are some of the people affected by the recent cuts to Medicaid. Stephanie has relied on Medicaid's Family Program for healthcare. Once her sons age out of the program, though, she will have to struggle to find affordable health care for herself and her family. Audrey was on the Illinois Cares Rx healthcare program before it ended in July; now she is having trouble with her many prescriptions without the assistance. Two different, but incredibly strong women. I only had about an hour with Audrey, and about 20 minutes with Stephanie - I would have really loved to follow this story for longer.
